About Us

The Plymouth Drake Sea Cadets is one of many Sea Cadet units located throughout the UK. It is a disciplined youth organisation based upon the Royal Navy and a registered charity. Plymouth Drake unit has played a key part in developing Plymouth's youth for over 50 Years and although based upon the Royal Navy is not funded by it and relies mainly on donations and fundraising by the adult volunteers.

On 6th November 2007, Plymouth Drake Sea Cadets or TS Golden Hind as it is known, relocated to HMS Vivid after many years at Fisher Block within HMS Drake.
HMS Vivid is located in South Yard of HM Naval Dockyard and is now shared between the Royal Naval Reservists who parade on a Wednesday night, and the Sea Cadets who parade Tuesday, Thursday & Friday.
